Did fresh install w/.img from osmc.tv. Running Kodi 18.9

Did a fresh install of my Vero4K+

Downloaded disk image from https://ftp.fau.de/osmc/osmc/download//installers/diskimages/OSMC_TGT_vero3_20201227.img.gz, and de-tarred. Did fresh install. Made no other changes to the system: this is all from the install from the above image.

From kodi.log:

Note here: Kodi(18.9) And I checked in System Info, the same.

Tried running OSMC update: there was none.

How do I get Kodi v19?

TIA

PS: logs can be uploaded if requested. But, please, only if necessary. I think the log snippet above says a lot.

Kodi 19 for OSMC is still in a testing state.

Ok. I got that.

But v18 still uses python2. Some of the addons I would like to use now require python3. Could I install that manually? Or will it break something else?

I don’t know if you saw this post:

With that test build version (logs were uploaded, see previous posts), I had bad audio sync problems with several videos. Didn’t know if you had seen this post.

Unless you plan to sit on Kodi v18 forever, it’s a good idea to fix your issue instead.
