Does user version of Lircmap.xml override the entire system version?

I can’t tell from the Kodi source whether if a user version is found, then it is used instead of (not in addition to) the system version.

I’d like to make just one or two additions, because my remote has some keys that just aren’t listed, and I know I can copy the system file and then edit it, but then any changes when OSMC updates will definitely be overridden by the user version.

If it’s like other Kodi configuration, local settings in userdata override system settings. Try copying the system settings to userdata, and edit it so that only the changes you want are left in the file. Then you will know for sure :wink:

Settings should be inherited, but not completely overwritten.
