Dvb-t stick firmeware failes to load

[ 1178.890574] usb 1-1.2.4: dvb_usb_v2: downloading firmware from file 'dvb-usb-it9135-01.fw'
[ 1178.891109] usb 1-1.2.4: dvb_usb_af9035: too much data wlen=64 rlen=0
[ 1178.891401] dvb_usb_af9035: probe of 1-1.2.4:1.0 failed with error -22

This is what I get when trying to start the dvb-t stick with osmc alpha…

That’s an odd issue. I see a potential device mismatch between 9035 and 9135 there. Can you confirm what model of DVB stick you are trying to use and also upload some dmesg output?

Cheers

Sam

It’s a technaxx S4 dvb-t stick and I use it all the time with raspbmc without any problems.

Here is some more dmesg output:

I would suggest copying the file from /lib/firmware on Raspbmc to the same place in OSMC and seeing if this helps.

We use Linux 3.17 now and it is possible the firmware does not support this kernel

I checked it out already, and no, it does not work.

My guess would be that the firmware is not compatible with a 3.17 kernel then. I would suggest looking for a newer firmware from the vendor’s site. I have used get_dvb_firmware from the kernel to prepopulate the firmare.
