So I understand the Vero 4k + is losing its support so wanted to get this in at the last minute. I have had this Vero 4k + for 5 years and it has been a great device.
For the last few months I noticed the update screen has become visually garbled and I can now longer do an actual update on using the built in update section. It has also started locking up more and I think the previous build may be the culprit.
So what is the easiest way to grab the last update for the 4K + and install it directly on the device using a usb stick?
Also can I do this without losing settings like the build in upgrade manager?
If you upgrade with the USB stick this will wipe the device, you can potentially backup your settings first, perform the wipe/reinstall and then restore your settings afterwards though.
Or…
You could try connecting to your Vero 4k+ via your network at home and upgrade via the network, that might be easiest for you. To do this you use a tool called SSH and this is built in to pretty much every operating system these days.
Let me know which method you’d like to try and i can provide guidance.
What skin are you using and have you tried changing it to see if the visual issues disappear?
I’ll be able to play around with my 4k in a few days to try out different skins and I’ll update this thread and send screen shots of how it looks
