Editing config.txt through myOSMC results in read-only SD card

I’m trying to configure IQaudio with OSMC and Rasberry PI3. First I’ve downloaded OSMC_TGT_rbp2_20161004.img.gz and so far so good. When I tried editing the config.txt through myOSMC, instead of using SSH, only ones it did work. The second time there was no result because the 64 Gb SD card was suddenly read-only and now destroyed by OCMS.

Is this a bug? The card did function and is not much used.

Well, I’m trying to install the Pi-DigiAMP+ in combination with a Raspberry 3. It seems easy but it is very complicated to install on OSMC.

In OSMC (version of 04-10-2016) ALSA setting are constantly overruled by OSMC.
For example: when I put dtoverlay=iqaudio-dacplus,auto_mute_amp in the config.txt fil, it is working for one time.
ALSA setting are showing the IQaudio card.

Starting up again from OSMC, the system has overruled config.txt bij changing it into dtoverlay=iqaudio-dacplus-overlay and put a #dtoverlay=iqaudio-dacplus,auto_mute_amp.
ALSA settings are now showing the default BCM2835 and the IQaudio card is staying on mute with no sound (only trhrough HDMI).

Can I conclude that the latest OSMC image with a Rasperry 3 and the Pi-DigiAMP+ card is not a good combination?
It’s very annoying that OSMC overrules the config.txt settings. It even resulted in two read-only SD cards.

Am I doing something wrong?

Something isn’t right there, as we don’t check vfat integrity and mount RO on dirty-bit (or we’d have lots of problems).

Not sure what you mean by that, but if you don’t open My OSMC → Pi Config, you can set config.txt and it will not be overwritten. Also make sure you add dtparam=audio=off (to disable ALSA for the on-board DAC)
