You’ll need to check your logs.

https://discourse.osmc.tv/t/how-to-obtain-provide-necessary-info-for-a-useful-support-request-includes-current-versions/5507s

I uninstalled nearly all skins and all extensions, nothing to do!
this is the first time ???!!!

Here logs (I do not understand it)
http://xbmclogs.com/ph9nsaxgj
(juste start, update and the same error)

Unfortunately a Kodi log is useless for this issue, especially when not debug enabled.

Please use

grab-logs -A

And post the URL.

now, it reload a news update
and stop later, not "installing 2.4.2, but "processing etc.
but with te same windows error (2.4.2)

I reboot and,

You have file system corruption which has caused recent updates to partially fail:

This has probably been caused by turning off the system without shutting down cleanly such as a power loss, or a crash and reboot.

The cause of the problem is not the update - the file system corruption existed before the update and caused the update to fail.

You need to run fsck on the root file system.

OK, with System Rescue CD => GParted => Check and Repair
then fsck : clean

everything is working (putty and update)

Thank You

I see from your log that you are running your Pi 2 in Turbo overclock mode - if you were seeing crashes before (the most likely reason you were seeing file system corruption) then I would strongly recommend that you change the speed back to normal.

Hello DBMandrake

Before in my old Pi, I had system on an SD card and after a crash, you had to reconfigure sometimes reinstall because nothing worked …
Since Pi2 and system on an USB, for almost a year, used every day, everything has always worked perfectly, including updates …
it’s the first time a crash cause me problems …
Unfortunately, changing the speed does not protect against power outages
(my power box which protects PC and NAS is in the room below)

hello i have de same problem
