Error updateing, report to OSMC

Hello, I usually leave my RP2 on, and just turn of the TV… today is the second time (last time was last week) that when I turn TV on I see a message (alert that needs to be closed) that there was an error updating and I should report to OSMC…

I checked, everything works, I run

 sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

and some things seem to download and install but everything seems the same version (System Info: OSMC 2025-06-01 and Kodi May 23 2015)

Is there some misconfigured auto update ?

You would need to provide debug logs using the Log Uploader to be sure, but most likely it was caused by an outage to our update server that occurred yesterday. (And also last week)

So I wouldn’t worry about it unless it happens again. Error reporting will be improved in the next update so that it reports that the cause is unable to connect to the update server.
