Error when installing Stretch update

Hi, just installed the Dec update.
Received a message “Error installing: desktop-file-utils, please report”. That’s what I’m doing now … let me know if you need more info.
Btw, OSMC seemed to boot up ok after the update apart from this error message. Thanks for all your work on this great system!

First try the update again in case you had a connectivity issue

Did you manually install the package “desktop-file-utils” before the update? I cannot find it on my Vero 4k.

If it is part of a dependency of another package perhaps we should find out what package(s) require(s) it?

sudo apt-cache rdepends desktop-file-utils

Next step is, to understand what is failing.

Got the same error. My assumption is that X11 desktop environment launcher is dependent on it, as it no longer runs but everything else seems 100% so far after update.
No I haven’t checked dependency, just assuming

Please provide logs.

You can learn more about how to provide logs here.
