Hi. I have read what I can find about this issue on here. But I still seem to have problems booting.
Unpacked my device, everything working well, except for remote going a bit nuts. Internet through WiFi didn’t work, plugged in ethernet, finally got internet and the updates came pouring in automatically.
Figured I could do with a restart, hopefully fixing the issues with my remote.
Booted straight into fatal error. “Could not find root filesystem device /dev/vero-nand/root”
Then Initramfs starts.
Able to reformat (reinstall) by renaming to recovery.img and holding in “the button”.
After install completes, I still boot into the same fatal error.
Tried both version 09 and 10 (September and October)
I am also able to boot into the Android Recovery kit (by not renaming to recovery while pressing the button)
I have wiped the cache, reset to factory defaults and tried updating from EXT, SD card.
The latter show no package to update. Does that mean error reading from SD?
Thought I could be well off running apt-get update and grab some updates. But for some reason I can’t ssh into Vero.
Reason being it doesn’t connect to my cabled internet anymore. Can’t find the IP. My router does not list it as a “client”. Tried Advanced IP scanner also, no unfamiliar devices.
I have a keyboard and therefore able to use initramfs with a bit of assistance.
I’m using the power supply that shipped with my Vero 2. It’s connected to the wall.
