I connected my FireTV Stick remote but after restarting OSMC on a raspberry pi b+ the remote does not reconnect. Is it possible to force a reconnect after starting osmc? Perhaps with a shell script?

My Fire TV Stick remote reconnects just fine.
Note: After OSMC boots the remote will not reconnect until you press a button, but a few seconds after pressing a button it will start working again.
Make sure you have paired the device correctly - from memory you want to pair it with pin. (even though a pin is not required)
Failing that, use bluetoothctl from ssh to show information about the Fire TV stick remote.
Use the devices command to list available devices then info devicename and paste the output of that here.
Your remote should show up as paired yes, trusted yes, and connected yes.
