Getting my Vero 4k+ to downscale

Hi all, a more general HT question that I was hoping I could fix at the Vero device end.

I have two setups here at home: a 4k display in my HT room with a Vero V, and a 1080p display in the family room with a 4k+. Both devices pull from centralised storage. A lot of my content is 4k to use in the HT room, but often we want to watch stuff in the family room.

Both of my systems have HDFury devices in them, as I need to split off a 1080p feed for my now ageing AVRs. The trouble is that in the family room, the Fury is passing 4k from 4k content. The Vero is a willing participant because it sees the Fury and passes 4k to it.

I’ve been tinkering with the Fury but I don’t want to change much as it took ages to get the EDID sound settings right.

Is there an easy way to get the Vero to never pass 4k - so it does the downscale to 1080p?

I have workarounds of course to keep Mrs_G happy but thought I would ask.

Hi, you can try to setup allowed resolutions in the whitelist configuration of the display menu:

Go to Settings -> System -> Display -> Whitelist and configure only those resolutions your 1080p display supports.
