Hi, what’s the best settings to configure the hdmi cec because then I hold down the ok button for example in the file manager to create a new folder it is like I clicking it a lot of times , I discovered that there are some settings in the hdmi cec adapter but what are the ideal settings for it?
What your talking about here is called long-pressing and that is not a feature that is supported via CEC on any Kodi platform. If your particular TV does not forward the menu key then to get the context menu to come up you will have to find a key on your remote that Kodi does pick up and then keymap the menu function to that. This is probably easiest done by installing the keymap editor add-on.
As for the CEC settings anything that isn’t obvious you should be able to find info by just doing a web search with the keyword “kodi” and the name of the option in question. I don’t know that I’ve ever run across a full writeup on the options but be aware that some options may do nothing, or work differently depending on what hardware you have. In general though, the default settings work for most without any tweaking needed.
