Hdmi cec: remote keys working on libreelec not working in osmc

I have a RPI 3B+ connected to a Panasonic TV.

I’ve been running OpenELEC and LibreELEC for years where my most of my remote keys are working (some are remapped in /userdata/keymaps/remote.xml)

After having changed to OSMC I’ve lost the functionality of stop, play and pause - amongst other keys.

Any ideas how to get the remote keys working in OSMC that have always working on LibreELEC?

Are you running the same version of Kodi on LE and OSMC?
Are they the same device?

I would recommend checking Kodi debug log when pressing these buttons. You should see the buttons being detected; and may need to adjust your keymap to handle them.

Same device, and same Kodi version.

What I don’t get is that for some reason it works now after the device has been powered on for an hour or more. To be fair that has also happened in the past on both Open- and LibreELEC.
I don’t know what causes it.

Up,down, left, right and OK/enter works right after startup, but sometimes the keys: Play, pause and stop works only after a certain amount of power on time.

Maybe someone’s able to explain why?

CEC can be complex. Perhaps there is a conflict with another device connected.
