HDR has stopped working

Haven’t made any changes except upgrade to the a October update, but I also possibly havent paid attention for a while to notice whether it was going into HDR ever since the update. It certainly isn’t now, even after a reboot, and confirming it was direct playing. It’s playing the movies in 4k, but SDR. Tried on multiple known good HDR movies.

HDR or HDR+?

For HDR+ I think you need 4.9 Kernel but @sam_nazarko might know better

Nov 01 00:59:27 osmc-Darktalon kernel: codec: Bit depth: 10-bit, Colour range: limited
Nov 01 00:59:27 osmc-Darktalon kernel: codec: Primaries: bt2020, Transfer function: smpte-st-2084, RGB-YCC: bt2020nc

Can you post mediainfo for this video?

HDR. everything is playing back in SDR.

Can I please get some help?

You are using an AVR-KEY which isn’t passing through the HDR capbilities of your display. Have you perhaps set the key to SDR BT2020?
