Hi. My load is always high, I tried a new installation but the same issue without any addon. Only the Vero remote is connected.
Please provide full logs:

Is Kodi on the home screen?
Which skin are you using?
The load actually looks OK
Anything attached to USB?
Kodi is on the home screen and I’m using Black Glass Nova. Besides the RF receiver for remote control nothing is connected to USB
Any change if you switch back to OSMC skin for testing purpose?
The same with OSMC skin.
Ok, generally a single core usage of 50% by Kodi is quite normal. And as @sam_nazarko wrote for the Vero also Load Average of >2 seems to be not unusual.
So unless you are expiereince any instability or an overheating device I believe your are all good.
We moved the ISRs for the dwc_otg_hcd:usb1 interrupt to the third core. This driver has a high number of interrupts as it uses a polling approach.
This means a little higher than usual load but won’t cause any issues.
Sam
Ok. Thanks. How can I check the temperature via ssh and terminal?
Does the box feel hot to the touch? Is it malfunctioning in any way? If not – you have nothing to worry about.
I’ll add the AML_THERMAL option so it can be checked via sysfs in the next update (keep forgetting)
43°C at the surface (checked with IR thermometer) and 25°C room temperature. Should be ok. Thanks
FYI: after turning off RSS feeds now it’s about 15 % CPU usage and 1.25 load. Is it a bug in Kodi?
Sam’s response above is the important info for this thread.

If the device is snappy, I’d say it’s working fine.
Everything’s fine. I’m just curious
