Upgrading OSMC this morning a required dependency fails to install. The 1.1.0 version can’t be found so it won’t roll back either. OSMC still runs fine as I have no wireless device anyway, but this un-installable and un-fixable dependency stops me from upgrading any other software on the device.
Could this please be marked as an optional dependency, or fixed so it installs properly.
You are the only person to have reported this as an issue.
Please provide the URL from grab-logs -a or by selecting apt logs in the MyOSMC log uploader so we can see what the issue is.
I did the install on the command line. My assumption is that anyone who upgraded through the GUI may not have noticed the failure in the first place. As I said, OSMC still works fine, I just can’t update anything else.
Well I assume you assume wrongly. Many people ,including myself, do upgrades on the command line.

I assume you have a corrupted filesystem, maybe share grab-logs -A if we can spot any issue.
Also try dist-upgrade as written above before uploading the new logs.
It seems to be dropping the file system during the install some how. The root file system is unmounted after attempting the install…

As you wrote problem with the filesystem. Check the Journal grab-logs -J for errors. But my best guess is SD Card or USB problem (depending where you installed OSMC)
Sorry for the inconvenience, but it was nice to bounce this off someone else. There was a single inode in the firmware directory that had its parent directory pointing to null. The system was stepping back from there and then couldn’t find anything else.
