I use fstab as in the guide. It works great until I need to reboot, at which point the share will usually be blank and requires multiple reboots to fix. Would prefer a method that doesn’t break the v4k when the server reboots too.

If you don’t need to manipulate the files in the share on the OSMC box outside of Kodi, then using Kodi’s built-in smb://
works fairly well, as long as you aren’t trying to play back files at close to the maximum of your Ethernet speed. I don’t have any trouble with files that peak at 50Mbps on the original Vero 4K (100Mbps Ethernet).
