How do we fix the Volume Muted

I can’t get any sound out of the Pi 2 any longer. Don’t know how the volume got muted to begin with but I can not find how to undo it. I see on the top right hand screen a speaker with a red circle and a slash through it signaling no sound. In the OSMC screen the top middle states “Volume muted”
Where do i unmute?.

Yatse has an unmute feature. Most remotes do. Alternatively try + or F10 on a keyboard

You can try this as well:

F8 to unmute from a keyboard and + to increase the volume to maximum.

Another good way to do it if you don’t have a keyboard is the web interface. Go to

http://ipaddress

Where ipaddress is the ipaddress of your Pi then click on remote. On some networks the following will work without looking up the ip address:

Sam, you’re special!!!

I created an account just so I could thank you for the advice! hitting the + sign worked for me. I was so lost! thanks!

Agree with Mistameana! I was at my wits end trying to figure this out and when I googled, this was the first result listed. Y’all are absolutely incredible. Thank you!

My Pi was set to 33% volume after the upgrade, but this topic allowed me to fix that.
Thanks!!
