How to Change Movie Information Selections

I installed 21.1 and now in Movies-Information there are more selections such as DETAILS, DIRECTOR, VERSION and EXTRAS. How do I remove these new added items?

Just versions/extras are new as part of Kodi v21. The other buttons have always been there. As these are a Kodi core functionality, they cannot be removed, I’m afraid.

On the version I was running previously there were no buttons for DETAILS, DIRECTOR, VERSION and EXTRAS. As v20 worked fine for me then I’ll go back to that version. I hate having changes I don’t want forced on me.

Technically, you could alter the code of the skin to hide the buttons, but that would need a manual code change which would be overwritten with every update.

The file in question is located under /usr/share/kodi/addons/skin.osmc/xml on your device.

Thanks much! Commented out the code for the buttons and they no longer appear. Worked a treat!
