How to downgrade firmware

I’d like to revert to Jan firmware due the the banding issue introduced Feb onwards.

Ive tried to follow instructions here Reinstalling OSMC - Vero 4K - OSMC using the Usb method.
Cant get it to work at all, tried 4 different usb sticks all FAT32 formatted, various sizes, now worked.

Tried the steps in troubleshooting also to force the update, but that doesn’t work either.

I downloaded Jan disk image from here Download - OSMC

Do you have an SD card ? Try it using the SD card, that’s the method I always use to reinstall.

The banding issue can probably be fixed by following:

Am I right that we will be able to use the following commands in order to test dithering on/off and round on/off (between: What does “round” stand for?) echo “dither1” > /sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/debug echo “dither0”> /sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/debug echo “round1” > /sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/debug echo “round0”> /sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/debug

Managed to do the ‘downgrade’ in the end.

I don’t know when it worked (which attempt) as I never saw anything on my screen to say it was doing it… but unplugged my Vero4K, plugged it back in, and it took me straight to the setup page !!!
