How to hardcode HDMI port on RPi4?

I have a friend for whom I have built an OSMC box using an RPi4B device.
The device connects by VPN to my home LAN in order to feed the videos he watches.
This has been working well for some time but this week he installed a TV BOX from a big telecom company and when that was all done he could no longer connect to the KODI/OSMC box on the TV.
I suspect that the Android-TV based TV box has stolen the HDMI handling of the TLC SmartTV he uses, or that the TV no longer sees the Kodi output and does not list it as a valid input.

So I would like to configure the OSMC box to output video on the connector attached to the TV irrespective on if the TV is set to display it or not. Video should be present 24/7 on its connector.

I have googled this and found the following advice:

  1. Edit the /boot/config.txt file and add these lines to it:
hdmi_force_hotplug=1
hdmi_drive=2
  1. Reboot the Raspberry Pi

After the reboot, the Pi should output video on the HDMI port, even if no HDMI monitor is connected at boot.

Now I am not sure if this will work and I am not sure what drive number to use.
Can someone here advice:

  • Is this going to work on the OSMC RPi4B device concerning outputting video at all times?
  • What number should be used as hdmi_drive when the cable is connected to the HDMI connector closest to the power connector in the RPi4?

I have a logon channel available to the RPi command line via SSH as long as its VPN connection stays connected, so I could modify these settings remotely.

TIA

I don’t think you’re going to get (m)any responses here given your post history.
If you just admitted you were running a commercial operation, I’d have actually helped you.
