How to have OSMC on Rpi safely shut down with power failure

Basically the title. Wondering if there’s a method either within OSMC or the RPi to initiate a power shutdown if I have my RPi plugged into a UPS and the A/C power goes out

It depends on the brand and model of UPS. If you have an APC, look at this post:

There appears to be a daemon available to monitor APC UPSs. It’s called apcupsd and can be installed from the Vero command line:

sudo apt install apcupsd

I have no experience using it. They do have a web site: http://www.apcupsd.org/ that looks to have some useful information about it.
