How to mount sd card in osmc and play video from it?

Hello all,

I can’t seem to find the answer to this question anywhere in the forum. Is my sd card mounted automatically in osmc? If so, then what is the path to it? And if not, how can I make it mount automatically? If that’s not possible, how can I mount it manually?

Best regards,
Marcus

Is that the card withthe OS, or another?

There’s no OS on the card, I’m using Vero 2.

Depending on how it is formatted it should show under /media

It doesn’t, neither when formatted as FAT32, nor as NTFS. What could be wrong?

Boot your device
Insert the card and upload a log

It’s possible udisks doesn’t automount SD cards, I have always done it manually.

I suspect running mount or adding it to fstab will work

Sam

My card was automatically mounted when I plugged it in.
Multiple reboots and it is still mounted

Thanks for clarifying

I can confirm SDs are automounted if there is a compatible filesystem.

FWIW: I’m using Ext4, but I had previously used a different filesystem and it worked too.

Yes. Almost all filesystems will work.
