How to perform a full backup (image?) before updating?

I have some minor scripts and configs in the Vero 4k+ I want to “protect” before the October update (or any other one).

I’d like, not only saving those files in external storage (which It’s already done), but to know a way to make a “full image backup”, just in case, to easily recover the previous config.

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance.

Ok. I’ll test it this weekend.
Thanks.

Unless you want to set up a regular backup, just use osmc-restore / to write your current filesystem to a SD card or USB stick.

Tested last weekend. No issues.
The October update went well so no need to recover backup, but it seems the script did the task pretty well. Now it’s easy to recover system/ customized user config files without problems.
Thanks
