Image OSMC_TGT_rbp1_20171001.img.gz does not post

Image OSMC_TGT_rbp1_20171001.img.gz does not post.

Installed using the OSMC installer and selected local image.
Installer completed without error.
Inserted SD card into RPi3.
Only colorwheel image displayed. Install did not initialize.

Tested image OSMC_TGT_rbp2_20170803.img.gz and it initializes as expected.

Both installed on new 16Gig Class 10 cards.
Also tested cards prior to installation.

Is image OSMC_TGT_rbp1_20171001.img.gz valid?

How would you expect a Image for the Raspberry Pi1 to boot on a Pi3?

You’re correct.
I looked at the date and not the build compatibility.
That was the issue.
