ImageMagick - has anybody installed this on the Vero4k

Hi,

Installing ImageMagick on the Vero4k

It sounds a strange question, but I’m after the package’s command-line ability to convert multi-page PDFs to a series of single images without loss of quality.

My concern is dependency chains - I’ve no idea how many libraries ImageMagick will pull in, and whether I’ll hit compatibility issues I can’t reverse out of.

Usually I boot Mint Linux for this, however unstable electrics, and elusive electricians, are making me wary of powering on my aging but once costly PC.

I’m running on the December build of osmc, not the latest and greatest.

Many thanks in advance.

osmc@osmc:/var/lib/dpkg/info$ sudo apt-get install imagemagick -y --dry-run

Does this help? (I’m on the latest build, of course. )

Yes, very much so, thanks @dillthedog . Completely forgot the --dry-run switch!
