Just a note in appreciation of the work Sam and the team put in developing OSMC. I’d buy a Vero if I had a 4K TV, but for the moment, a Raspberry Pi coupled with the nifty OSMC remote is sufficient for my needs. I’m glad the OSMC OS is not specific to the Vero.
I’ve tried LibreELEC, and even Raspbian Lite (with Kodi) in the past, but really, OSMC is much less a pain to set up, and just seems to do things better (and without hiccups). The gorgeous skin still allows a decent amount of customisation for tinkerers, and I also like the community efforts to bring RetroPie, Widevine and other “essentials” to the OS.
I look forward to what future iterations of OSMC might bring.
