Is there any information available on how to install Plex Media Server on 4k?
I don’t need transcoding capability. I’m currently using an old Mac Mini as my plex server and would like to simplify things buy having everything in one unit. I’m also using a Synology DS1511+ as my video source. The Synology does not have transcoding capability.
If you don’t need transcoding why not just run the plex server off of the Synology? The Vero will have the same transcoding limitations as your particular NAS. If you want to put it on the Vero then you would probably start here. There some info about doing it on the forum but it looks like they are all using a repo that has since been shut down.
