Internet VERY slow until I disable then enable the ethernet adaptor. PC, Windows 10

Ok, this is general PC help I need here. I’ve asked the same question in a tech support reddit, but no response yet, and I’m sure there’s people here who know about PC issues!

My PC was working fine. I updated my MSI x470 Gaming Plus Max bios to the latest version as I was upgrading my ryzen 3600 CPU to a 5800x. Did the upgrade and then restarted. Booted no problem and everything seemed fine, except my internet access. It was mind numbingly slow. So slow most things were timing out, but some pages loaded basic text.

Repaired LAN drivers, and it all worked fine.

Until I power cycled my PC and it was slow again. Uninstalled then reinstalled LAN drivers and it was fine.

Until I power cycled my PC and it was slow again. Disabled then enabled my ethernet adaptor and it was fine.

Until I power cycled my PC and it was slow again. I’m now out of ideas on how to fix the issue so I don’t have to disable/enable my ethernet adaptor every time I power on.

My Windows 10 is up to date.

Anyone got any ideas what could be going on and how to fix it?
