Is it possible to use a usb microphone for karoke?

Hi Everyone.

First off thanks to osmc for your work.

Im using the mikey’s karoke addon in osmc kodi. It’s great but was wondering if a usb microphone could be used to output the persons voice along with the song on the tv. Be cool feature for a party.

This may be infeasible, as there is no provision for audio input.

Could be possible if you route the microphone input directly to the speakers via alsa.
Don’t know if it will interfere with kodis sound output though.

Also trying to do this.

OSMC on Raspberry Pi. USB microphone is recognized but want t route the audio input through to the default HDMI output. Anybody have a clue how to do this?

I’m trying to use an USB microphone with OSMC.
I’m not interested in routing it anywhere as I just need it for voice recognition: do I have to give up and switch to Raspbian instead?
