Issue with Synology NAS

I have a Vero unit and media on a Synology DS220+ NAS. Everything connected fine up to recently - I’m using NFS.

Following the recent update (or maybe that time is coincidental), my Vero is unable to play video media from the NAS. Anything that was previously scanned won’t play and it won’t scan and pick up new media.

However, the Vero can see the content on the NAS and I was able to play new content via the file manager.

It will still play music from the same NAS but can’t view photos.

Is this a simple settings issue or something else?

Depending on the used skin you have to set the settings-level to standard or higher, in summary:

  • enable debug logging at settings->system->logging

  • reboot the OSMC device twice(!)

  • reproduce the issue

  • upload the log set (all configs and logs!) either using the Log Uploader method within the My OSMC menu in the GUI or the ssh method invoking command grab-logs -A

  • publish the provided URL from the log set upload, here
