Issues with tvheadend

On a fresh install, I can no longer get tvheadend to run using Harry’s instructions from here:

Have just tried rebuilding Tvheadend using the instructions here: but replacing “aptitude” with “apt-get” and ignoring the first instruction (“… wget”). The build seemed to go OK. I then copied the results into “/usr/bin”, overwriting the existing “tvheadend” file, and rebooted. The new build is recognised in the title of the x.x…x.x:9981 web page, but none of the tabs appear so there is something else that needs doing.

It seems like it never updates the .hts folder. Has anyone been able to get tvheadend installed recently? (the appstore version is missing features)
The last good build I had was 4.1.19, but had to reinstall and the newest is 4.1.289. Is there a way to use a different build version?

I was able to get it working using a git clone and pulling version 4.05. Must be an issue in the main branch.
