The Mede8er 1000 media player (an otherwise excellent device which is no longer supported and cannot play x265) has a substantial remote which includes two buttons - forward 15 seconds and backwards 15 seconds. These buttons are very useful e.g “What did he say?” - back 15 seconds button. I appreciate there aren’t enough buttons on the standard OSMC remote to dedicate two to these actions, but a third party remote such as a mini BT keyboard could be pressed into action. Is this a feature which could be built in somehow?
The left and right sides of the central round directional button on the standard OSMC remote already skips 10secs in either direction. Multiple presses multiply the size of the skip, and these are configurable to your liking.
Thank you ActionA (hereinafter you shall be known as ActionA+)
I didn’t look in the Kodi wiki, an error which I will not repeat.
Excellent stuff, the Vero gets better and better.
The more times you press the left and right buttons the larger the jumps e.g. 10sec, 30sec, 1 min, 5 min, 10 min
I don’t actually know what the size of the steps are but it’s something like this.
You can adjust the jumps in Settings > Player > Videos > Skip Steps. The options are 10s, 30s, 60s, 3m, 5m, 10m, 30m (then the same thing but negative for skip back). What I can’t remember if they are all enabled by default. I don’t actually like the variable skip, so I disable everything except +30s and -10s.
