Keep on getting OSMC Update Error on ATV1

Every time I try and update OSMC on my ATV1, I always end up getting an error message that says

OSMC Update Error
Error installing: atv-image-4.2.3-13-osmc (13)

Covered a few times. Power off your AppleTV properly, and follow the recovery steps two posts below yours.

I’m a new user from OSMC (2016.05.1) and I’ve the same situation about the new update 4.2.3-17-osmc --> OSMC Update Error.

What can I do? Backup is running well done before

P.S. System is running fast on ATV without problems.

Hi This means you have not powered off the aTV properly, so /boot has become read only. You should fsck /boot first and ensure it is RW before re-running apt-get -f install.

ATV1 OSMC boots up with a Reset of sorts

I ran these lines: sudo umount /boot sudo fsck.hfsplus -f /dev/sda1 sudo mount -o force,rw /dev/sda1 /boot Output: ** The volume untitled appears to be OK. So, why did I lose some part of “settings” and retained part of them; especially not after a bad shutdown but after a safe shutdown.
