Hi All,

My 4k+ auto updated this morning.

Build 19.4.0

Extremely slow now when browsing through menu and any mkv file stutters.

Did I miss something or shouldn’t have pushed the update?

Vero can’t update without your permission and we don’t do auto updates.

I’d suggest posting some logs.

Check if the GUI has gone 4k, happened to me once, but that was non standard update that accidently deleted gui_settings.xml (if i remember correctly)

Sorry for that Sam. I meant I got the notification that a new update was available, accepted. Took a while so had to leave home and now it’s extremely slow (plex server doesn’t even show the scraping info).

Yeah, I figured. Just made a wild guess without knowledge of your system, based on a strange experience when I tried to make a “emulator enabled” version of mediacenter package.

To get a better understanding of the problem you are experiencing we need more information from you. The best way to get this information is for you to upload logs that demonstrate your problem. You can learn more about how to submit a useful support request here.

Depending on the used skin you have to set the settings-level to standard or higher, in summary:

  • enable debug logging at settings->system->logging

  • reboot the OSMC device twice(!)

  • reproduce the issue

  • upload the log set (all configs and logs!) either using the Log Uploader method within the My OSMC menu in the GUI or the ssh method invoking command grab-logs -A

  • publish the provided URL from the log set upload, here

Thanks a lot. I did a clean install using the most recent build image and all is up and running again.
