Kodi crashes during boot after November update

I just installed the November update today, but now Kodi/OSMC keeps crashing during boot - with the blue sad smiley.

I think the relevant error in the log is:

2019-12-01 14:08:55.545 T:4067037184   ERROR: failed to initialize EGL display (EGL error 12291)
2019-12-01 14:08:55.545 T:4067037184   FATAL: CApplication::Create: Unable to init windowing system

Anyone knows what to do about this?

Try:

sudo apt-get install --reinstall vero3-userland-osmc

I just tried your suggestion, but reinstalling vero3-userland-osmc didn’t seem to change anything :frowning:

I’d suggest backing up your system and reinstalling OSMC.

Glad to hear this. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I saw no obvious reason to suggest why this issue was occurring in your logs beyond filesystem corruption.
