Kodi is not able to play .ts file anymore

I will open a report on kodi forum.

it is iptv simple client and the playlist is m3u, that contains all .ts links.

The same setup as Iā€™m using then, which is working fine here. It will be worth opening a report on the kodi forums, but bear in mind the fault could still be at the IPTV providers end.

Do they provide alternative playlists?

it is very strange, I can use it with vlc. Is possible to use vlc as kodi player ?

I found the problem, my pvr provider blocks the user agent that contains ā€œkodiā€ and they donā€™t want to change this. Is there a way to change the curl user agent without recompiling kodi?

I donā€™t think so, at least not from within Kodi. I think youā€™d have to define an external player for streams from this service so that the URL is passed to VLC, but then you have the problem of controlling VLC and quitting it when you are done playing the stream.

Thatā€™s pretty crappy that the IPTV service for which you pay wonā€™t let you use the media player you want to use.

Unfortunately a know issue, quite a few threads on it:

I believe it does require a re-compile to change the user details, but you will find more info if you look the previous threads.

for now I fixed adding http://x.x.x.x/chan.ts to all url in my m3u file and it works.

Glad to here your up an running again. You may find your self doing this again, as providers have a habit of changing the the playlists.
