Large number of video files: is there a limitation in the library?

Hello all
I have on network disk a large number of video files (about 1300 movies).
I have deleted my previous sources (2 NAS) which were scrapped by TMDB and added correctly in Kodi’s library.

Problem: after having added this new source the movies has all the same name (film 1997) and only 435 are seen.

Maybe the library has an issue or… ???

I tend to use filebot to name all the movies accordingly for KODI to recognize them.
You are however right that the scappers do a poor Job currently. I have some movies where I have to specifically “add” a nfo file with a link to imdb for these to be entered into the DB.

I used filebot too and each folder has its nfo file (and srt files).
Previously, from the other sources, everything was OK: it’s not a question of scraping.

We believe this is a Kodi issue or a specific Kodi function and as such you should look at addressing the issue there. We are unable to resolve your issue. If you do believe that this is an OSMC specific issue, please let us know.

Okey. Got it.

This looks like the cause:

Verify also that you have the last update from your scrapper extension.

I thought kodi downloads these automatically???

It’s depends of your settings choices

Hi
I’ve also since some time problems with the scrap (IMDB). And update the Kodi scrapper wasn’t enough.
Perhaps here the solution [imdb] fix crash on empty videoInfoTag #12373
It’s marked as backport needed to Kodi V17 Krypton. Perhaps we can see soon.
I’m sure that @sam_nazarko has allways a look to this.
Michael

I’m watching it and will include a backport when available

Hi Sam
MartijnKaijser has merged
https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/commit/3c703fec7b6d0b3a5526d9b1777b7da6c2196833
that (I hope) solved the IMDB scrapper problem.
The target was Kodi version "17.4 "
Has you some “Insider” information’s for the release date ???
Merci
Michael

I have already added that fix to Kodi a couple of days ago and it will be in the next update, so no need to wait for 17.4

Sam

Hi Sam
Great job, it’s for that that I like OSMC/Vero 4.
You make the job and I can spend time to update metadata in www.themoviedb.org
Merci
Michael

Hopefully we will get that update out today

No problem for me, i 've my workarounds, also take the time that you need.
When your update it’s ready, I test and report back
Merci
Michael
