Left menu only partially shown

Both TV and pi/osmc are mostly off the mains. I switch them both on with one switch when I want to use them.
Is that sort of/close enough to what you are suggesting, do you think?

No, or I would not have been so descriptive. It’s important that the TV is completely booted first.

I see; sorry I misunderstood.
I’ll try and report back.

I did as you suggested.
Still no luck. The TV does report the osmc-device as an hdmi-peripheral (as it did before), but still won’t relay the remote signal to osmc.

Perhaps we’ve explored all options now?
I’m happy to use Yatse.

Sorry, I have no other suggestions.

Enjoy!

No problem.
You guys have been incredibly helpful and patient. Thanks!:osmc: :+1:

@ActionA excuse me for returning to this old thread about my TV and remote not working with cec, but on this forum I’ve come across FLIRC. would that be a solution for my old Sony remote and osmc/pi, do you think? (I’m not sure I understand if flirc is meant for this use case.)

It’s an option but will require an IR receiver. Also not sure if this will give you functions on your TV remote that cec doesn’t provide.

Thanks.
Will investigate further.
