I have installed the RC2 in my Rpi2 and copied my lircd.conf and configured with MY OSMC in “remote” section.
It’s working but it’s reading 2 times every button. When I launch this command “sudo systemctl stop lircd_helper@lirc0” the remote start working correctly. Am I the only one with this problem?
It would be helpful to know what kind of remote you have and how the receiver is connected 
Also please upload your debug logs.
At a guess your remote is already supported by the kernel directly and doesn’t need lircd to support it - in which case simply don’t choose it in the remote section. (Choose something else you don’t have)
… I forget that I have connected an usb dongle for RTL-SDR (with IR!!)… sorry!! I have blacklisted the kernel drivers and now It’s all working correctly.
