Low audio volume on both analogue and HMDI

Hi all

I’m running the latest OSMC on an RPI2 and I’m getting a very low audio volume from both HDMI and analogue outputs.

I can give any current config data if needed but I believe I have everything at 100% on the Pi side.

Are you certain that Kodi’s volume is all the way up?

Yeah, certain. tried using the amplification and it made no difference at all.

Tried my speakers with my laptop and it seems like the pi is giving a pittance of a signal.

Are they powered speakers? Or do they only draw power from the device they are attached to?

I had the same yesterday, rebooted my Pi and volume was back to normal. Did you try rebooting?

Yeah, it’s been going on for around a week, so several reboots haven’t helped.

I’m reluctant to buy a pre-amp as it seems like a software issue.

They are indeed powered speakers.
