I am trying to update my Mac server that has all my media files. I use /etc/fstab to mount the volumes successfully from the old server. Logs at https://paste.osmc.tv/ufamubileh
When I move the disks to the new device the same /etc/fstab commands (updated only for the new IP address) don’t work. (https://paste.osmc.tv/wocusatovo)
I “seem” to remember having to make some change or install SMB software of the Mac to get this working but I can’t find any notes on that. Can anyone help? Thanks.
It looks like your issue is you didn’t get your share permissions correct on your server end…

OK… Any suggestions on what to look at or adjust? I can mount the exact volumes on another Mac using the exact same credentials.
Maybe someone else. I haven’t touched a Mac PC since the '90’s. If the permissions and password is correct another common issue with SMB shares would be the protocol. If you take a look at the fstab how-to on this site you will see a recommend for adding a SMB version attribute that you could try.
