Managing OSMC with resin.io

I’d like to install OSMC on several rpi3’s that I have. I especially would like to control these machines via http://resin.io

To do that, I need to be able to install OSMC in a docker container. Is that even possible? If so, can somebody point me to some docs somewhere?

Thanks,

Steve

OSMC will run Docker

But you cannot run OSMC in Docker. It would make little sense to do so if you want Kodi.

Hey @newellista, for what it is worth, here’s a boilerplate version of Kodi running on resin.io: GitHub - balena-io-experimental/balena-kodi: A boilerplate for getting up and running with Kodi on your resin-enabled rpi! I’m guessing it should be possible to do something similar with OSMC, and would love to hear if you make it work (might give it a try this weekend too).

just once more the reminder “OSMC is based on Debian Jessie (a flavour of GNU/Linux) and has been heavily optimised to provide the best TV experience possible”

Or as Sam wrote

So unless you have in mind to transfer the Kodi part of OSMC into a Docker Container this will not be possible.
But even putting the Kodi part of OSMC will make little sense
