Max. USB current supported?

Hi,

what is the maximum current that can be drawn from the individual USB sockets or when even using them in parallel with a Y-cable (as used for external HDs)?

I’m asking with respect to the idea of powering a Raspi 2 for DVB-T2 reception from Vero 4K, without providing an additional power supply for it.

No way! The sockets on Vero4k can’t be expected to supply more than the standard 500mA for USB2.

That’s not a good idea, as the Pi 2 really needs 2A to operate correctly.
