thats the last 30 mins of the logs, the vero 4

Would need to see some full logs and details behind this post. Not seeing any errors in the log.

If you consistently have issues I would suggest a fresh installation of OSMC

this is box with wifi issues, I did a fresh installl a few months ago, but the other 2 boxes also are doing this randomly too

https://paste.osmc.tv/amevusezix

please see logs

this is it it can be fine for days, then could restart a few times a day

The problem is that this issue is now spread across about four different threads now so it is hard to track what is going on.

I would suggest a fresh install on the problematic device with no add-ons and see if Kodi restarts.

Regarding WiFi: if you mean you are experiencing this across all of your devices then this would suggest a possible issue with the router.

I am confused as to what the actual issue is that you are trying to fix here: WiFi or Kodi crashing.

Hi Sam

So 2 boxes (ethernet) always have connection, and there uptime is since I last rebooted them, but they both show kodi restarted inbetween, so not a full system reboot

the one with wifi, also does the above where the uptime is greater than the kodi logs, so it too has had kodi restart but not system lock where I have to turn off and on

Its both issues

First issue, wifi drops or box locks up, I dont know which as im waiting for this to next happen to see whats in logs (this affects 1 vero 4k)

Second Issue, kodi restarts, the “Uptime” is prior that date / time (this seems to happen on all 3, Vero 4ks)

2024-09-26 03:51:16.664 T:4131 info <general>: Starting Kodi (21.1). Platform: Linux ARM 32-bit (version for Vero)

Where uptime would show from yesterday etc

hope thats clearer

A full log will show why Kodi restarted.

doesnt this show full log?

https://paste.osmc.tv/amevusezix

i have got logging enabled

I have been looking at the bellow is that not correct log for everything?

One of your add-ons is causing Kodi to crash:

Sep 26 03:51:04 osmcBackRoom mediacenter[2741]: /usr/bin/mediacenter: line 205: 2894 Bus error sudo -u osmc MALLOC_MMAP_THRESHOLD_=8192 LIRC_SOCKET_PATH=/var/run/lirc/lircd $KODI --standalone -fs
Sep 26 03:51:04 osmcBackRoom mediacenter[2741]: Kodi exited with return code 135 after 6 hours, 43 minutes and 25 seconds

Cheers, what file is that in?

Also how would I go about working out which addon it is, I have removed most addons

This is in the log that you posted.

Usually the best way is to disable them and enable them one at a time until you find the problematic add-on.

Sorry Sam, what I mean is where is the log file for that be located within .kodi folders, save me running the grab command and uploading each time

Is there a way to list in text format what addons are installed, so I can compare which I have installed, compared to what comes included with kodi

From the addon screen I dont have many showing there

This was from system logs – not Kodi logs.

thanks

So whats best way to work out which addon, if I list all doesnt this also show the ones that comes included in kodi?

I mean I gues theres a chance it could be one of them but how do I seperate from ones I added? which tbh I dont think i have added many

We don’t ship anything that would cause this. Annoyingly there isn’t a trivial way to determine what the problem is, hence the suggestion to start off with as few as possible.

yeah it is annoying as youd think theyd make it so you knew what was running

Id just like to get a list of whats normally on kodi so supplied with OSMC so then i can compare and see if I do have any extras

is that possible?

We don’t supply any enabled add-ons out of the box. Just Skin Shortcuts and the OSMC skin. Binary add-ons are included, but not enabled by default.

sorry Sam, what I mean is, how to I determine which are part of kodi so looking in apps i display all and see ones like

AAC encoder, which i presume comes with kodi

but on other addons from main menu, I have these, so are they all I have installed

Missing movies
Backup
Youtube
iplayer
Web-PDB
YouTube
Artist Slideshow
Global Search
Inputstream Helper
youtube-dl control

So really what im asking is in the addons how do I determine what comea with kodi, and which have i installed

If they can be uninstalled then we didn’t ship them.

cheers removed anything that could be and just left the 2 that I use, but tbh, the old ones where scrappers not on any fie content and old interfaces or web interfaces
