I still maintain an old x86 media server running Mediaportal because it has an awesome GUI for viewing / recording and pb of TV. I would be some awesome if the PVR in 4K+ could replicate this UX / Features.
Then 4K+ would be the one mediacenter to rule them all!

Unfortunately that would be a huge undertaking.
There are some skins however that may meet your requirements. I even think there was a MediaPortal like-skin at one point; but Iām not sure if it is maintained

I have discovered TVHE.
It is much better than MP, just a little intimidating to use.
