MKV with embedded DV layer playback issues after November update

Thought I’d start a separate thread here to see if this is just a me issue.

Prior to the November update, all my collection of 4K MKV files with embedded DV layer (Profile 7 MEL) would play fine as regular HDR10 video.

Since this update however, some files would play fine, however some would result in dim slideshow-video and regular audio.

The mediainfo for this problematic file is as per below:

Any chance to have this looked at or if not, possibly downgrade to a previous release?

I believe this is an upstream issue with ffmpeg/ Kodi.

Do you have a sample we can look at?

Indeed I do, here’s a 30s sample file.

So… out of nowhere, these video files started playing normally again without any changes to anything… ¯_(ツ)_/¯
