I have been running OSMC stable on B+. I received my new shiny Rpi 2 now. Do I just switch SD card or do I need to do any additional steps ? Or reinstall ?
Thank you
You have to reinstall.
The cpu type/architecture is different, necessitating a new download and install.

Once the reinstall is done, is there a way to migrate any of the settings?
You can backup/copy the entire /home/osmc/.kodi/ directory from one install to the other - this will basically copy your entire Kodi configuration including addons, libraries, skin customisations and so on. (App store packages installed and config.txt will not be copied - you’ll need to do those separately)
If you have a second SD card and a USB card reader I find the easiest way is to do a fresh install on the new card, then plug the old card into the SD card reader then plug that into the USB port on the Pi. This will mount your old install under /media/some-funny-numbers-and-letters/ - from there you can stop the mediacenter service, delete the new .kodi folder and copy the old one across, then reboot and your job is done.
