I’ve done a fresh reinstall of OSMC today.
I have added in two music addons from Kodi - Shoutcast & SomaFM
Going to music addons and selecting the addon to launch absolutely nothing happens for either of them.
Switching to confluence skin and trying to launch them - they launch right away.
Switch back to OSMC skin and they revert to refusing to launch.

I have exactly the same problem. I couldn’t use Tidal. Use tried changing the skin. Boom. It works perfectly. I don’t get it.
I know that the OSMC skin is just a retouched CONQ and it seems the issue of music addons not working also happens in CONQ
OSMC isn’t really retouched Conq anymore. It hasn’t been for some time, but the developer is the same, so it may be a common issue across his skins.
Will investigate
this is working for me now.
It seems it isn’t a problem with the skin but another symptom of the Kodi mirror redirect problem effecting users based in Japan.
When I install a music addon it tries to also add some dependencies but fails - sometimes doesn’t report that it failed and the user believes the addon installed successfully.
There was a small window of time a couple of days ago when the mirror redirect problem was solved and I was able to install some music addons and launch them successfully from the OSMC skin
