As the heading says, a couple of days ago, my remote expired: there’s no LED response to any keypress. I tried two replacement batteries, checking that the contacts were firmly in place, but with no luck. There’s nothing wrong with the Vero V itself, since my old HP HTPC remote operates it beautiful…

My remote has died, and just outside the guarantee period!

You could ssh into your Vero and run lsusb to see if you were one of the unfortunate ones to get this issue…
